Dr. Heribert R. Fischer, Member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, responsible for Rolling and Metallic Coating.

Career

Dr. Heribert R. Fischer, born 1962, started his career after gaining his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) at Clausthal-Zellerfeld University of Technology as assistant plant manager at Krupp Stahl AG in Bochum in 1990. He later worked as plant superintendant and plant manager in the Bochum and Dortmund cold-rolling mills of Krupp Hoesch Stahl AG.

From 1997 to 1998 he was junior manager for International Projects at Krupp Thyssen Stainless GmbH, Bochum. From 1998 to 2002 Dr. Fischer was posted to Shanghai Krupp Stainless Co. Ltd. in Shanghai/People’s Republic of China as Manager Engineering and Director Operations.

After returning from China, Dr. Fischer was in charge of cold rolling mill 1 at ThyssenKrupp Steel AG in Duisburg from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007 he held the post of plant director production Bochum, and from 2008 to 2010 plant director production Duisburg-Bruckhausen/South/Finnentrop/electrical steel Bochum. From 2010 to September 2011 he was director of the Duisburg rolling and coating operations at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, Duisburg.

At October 1, 2011 Dr. Heribert R. Fischer was appointed to the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG. He is responsible for rolling and metallic coating.
