This investment ensures that Duisburg remains one of the world’s most efficient steel locations. The integrated mill on the Rhine combining iron and steel production also offers ideal conditions for minimizing energy and water consumption via a sophisticated recycling system. Energy efficiency levels are among the best worldwide for plants with this degree of integration.
