The nine square kilometer site on Sepetiba Bay offers optimum conditions for efficient steel logistics.
The site lies on the coast and at the end of a rail line which brings ore from the large mines inland. The integrated iron and steel mill will have its own sea port to transport the slabs directly to Europe and North America.
The design of the mill is based on the latest technology and on the strictest environmental standards. ThyssenKrupp CSA will meet not only Brazilian environmental rules but also the much stiffer European requirements.
